Skills Competition - Day 1

Today was our first day here in lovely Bakersfield California. I must admit the fields are really great but WOW was it is super hot here. We had an opening ceremony and a great lunch and then headed over to the skills competition later in the afternoon. Did I mention how hot it was today??

JD, Shaq, Peyton and Bryant competed in the Throwing Relay Event

These boys made us all proud and took First Place!!!

Aaron and Kyle competed in the Home Run Derby Event.

Aaron tied for second place in the event with 3 home runs!

(The winner had 4)

Spencer, Jordan, Mychael and Zack competed in the Around the Horn Event.

These guys did a great job!

Clayton competed in the Speed around the Bases Event.

Looked pretty fast to me...great job!!

It was a fun day here the boys all tried hard and represented Elk Grove well. Tomorrow is our first game we play Alpine Utah @ 3:30pm check back for updates.
